About Tamar
Tamar Peleg Tal is an Israeli environmental artist who creates commissioned sculptures, mosaics, and murals for public spaces, schools, and communities.
For over twenty years, Tamar has worked with municipalities, education authorities, and community organizations across Israel — transforming neglected lots, bare schoolyards, and forgotten corners into vibrant, meaningful places through site-specific art.
Her practice is rooted in collaboration. Every project begins with listening — to the place, the people, and the stories that live there. She leads participatory workshops where community members, students, and families become co-creators, building ownership and connection alongside the artwork itself.
Sustainability is central to her work. Recycled tires, reclaimed tiles, and locally sourced materials are transformed into durable, weather-resistant installations that serve communities for years. Her sculptures, benches, murals, and mosaics are designed not only to be beautiful but to be used — sat on, played around, learned from.
Tamar's work has been commissioned by city councils, regional education departments, community centers, and private organizations. She brings the same care and creative rigor to a single school bench as to a city-wide public art trail.
